Last week everyone was going pretty nuts about the fact that someone had posted a Vine of an old episode of Hey Arnold! where it looked like Uncle Chuck was eating out some woman’s ass.

In fact, the sex act was so blatant that many people speculated that it must have been a deliberate drop in from the creators to troll everyone and make the adults who were watching it with their kid laugh their asses off. Or turn away in disgust depending on how you were wired.
Anyway, Hey Arnold!’s creator Craig Bartlett has spoken out about the scene and said that the sequence was purely an accident and unintentional:
The scene is from Arnold’s Thanksgiving and the kids are leaving Mr. Simmons’ apartment, where his family is arguing at the table.
That’s Uncle Chuck eating a turkey with his hands. I assure you it was never intended to be what the guy tweeted it was.

Hmmm. I guess that’s his story and he’s sticking with it but I’m not so sure. I mean it just looks so blatant that someone working on the cartoon must have noticed what it looked like and decided to pass it off for screening anyway. There’s no way it would have got through otherwise, surely? I reckon Bartlett is still trolling us now with his statement to be honest.
For more 90s cartoons, here’s what a bunch of them would look like if they had drug problems.
